The Presidential Scholarship Grant Program associated with the Engagement Academy for University Leaders supports professional development for university leaders at institutions that are committed to inclusive campus-community partnerships. This award assists post-secondary institutions that demonstrate a persistent and consistent commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in institutional engagement, engaged scholarship, campus-community partnerships and community development.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the scholarship program you must:

• Work for a public post-secondary institution
• Demonstrate strong financial need
• Have five or more years of experience in post-secondary education administration.
• Show evidence of leadership potential
• Be highly motivated and committed to advancing the campus-community engagement plan at your institution
• Demonstrate institutional commitment to engaged scholars and campus-community partnerships.

APPLICATION

To apply for the Presidential Scholarship Grant Program, submit the following to Jeri Childers at jlc@vt.edu:

1. Current resume
2. Completed and signed Application Form
• Application Form (Word)
• Application Form (PDF)
3. One-page, signed letter of recommendation from your immediate supervisor (scanned and sent as an attachment)
